In the spirit of Mother's Day, we asked moms to tell us about their favorite flowers and preferences. What they told us might surprise you! So, if you've been giving mom the same type of bouquet year after year, allow us suggest some fresh new floral ideas.

Moms Under 20

Favorite Flower:
A whopping 90% of moms under 20 chose the rose as their favorite flower, followed by the lily (6%), and tulip (4%).

Favorite Flower Combination:
Most moms in this age group (87%) prefer a mixed bouquet of pastel pink, yellow, and lavender flowers. Other favorite combinations include fragrant bouquets (7%), blooming plants (3%), and mixed exotics such as orchids and birds-of-paradise (3%).

Favorite Arrangement:
Forget centerpieces, basket bouquets, and keepsake containers: 100% of these moms want a vase arrangement for Mother's Day this year!

Delivery Preference: Work vs. Home
Most moms in this age group (75%) would prefer their bouquet be delivered to their workplace.

Moms Aged 20-35

Favorite Flower:
The majority of moms aged 20-35 (39%) chose the rose as their favorite flower, followed by the gerbera, daisy, and tulip.

Favorite Flower Combination:
Most moms in this age group (38%) prefer a mixed bouquet of pastel pink, yellow, and lavender flowers. Other favorites include mixed bouquets of bold purples, oranges, and reds; bouquets featuring exotic flowers such as orchids; and fragrant bouquets. Less popular choices include blooming plants and — surprisingly — a single bouquet of roses!

Bouquets with an added personal touch are extra-special. One mom told us, "I like receiving arrangements that recognize what I like, for example, my favorite flower and color — even garden tools added for a gifted gardener."
